The Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 is designed for young professionals and students, who wants great features at an affordable price point. To honor this, Honor also announced the Honor Academy Program for overseas market. The company is prepared to offer a 1-year subscription of Microsoft 365 Personal with every MagicBook Pro and ViewPad 6 sold.
Honor MagicBook Pro
As previously reported, the Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 does have a larger 16.1-inch display, complete with 4.9mm bezels and a 90% screen-to-body ratio. Powered by up to 10th generation Intel Core i7-10510U processor, the laptop is also paired with an upgraded Nvidia GeForce MX350 graphics card with 2GB of DDR5 VRAM. As a standard across all variants, the laptop will have 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 512GB of SSD storage with Windows 10 Home pre-installed.
Being an Honor laptop, similar to the Huawei laptops, the Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 will also have the multi-screen collaboration which lets you connect your smartphone to the laptop, and use it from there.
Embedded within the keyboard is also the 1MP webcam, and it uses dual microphones for video calls. The speakers that surround the keyboard are also home to the fingerprint reader.
Connectivity wise, the Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 only comes with Wi-Fi 5 instead of Wi-Fi 6 (ax), 2×2 MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.0. I/O ports include a USB Type-C port, three USB Type-A ports, a HDMI port, and also a 3.5mm audio jack combo (headphones + microphone).
The Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 is powered by a 56Wh battery, which Honor claims can last up to 14 hours of light use. Made out of aluminium alloy, the entire laptop weighs 1.7KG and is 16.9mm thick.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor MagicBook Pro 2020 will have several variants and it will be available in China starting from the 19th of May 2020. The laptop will retail for the below prices:
- Intel Core i5-10210U + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD + MX350 – 5,999 Yuan
- Intel Core i7-10510U + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD + MX350 – 6,699 Yuan
