Shortly after posting this teaser, Honor Malaysia has officially announced that it is indeed the Honor 9X Lite that will make its grand debut in Malaysia. And not the Honor X10 that many have speculated.
Honor 9X Lite
The Honor 9X Lite runs on the Kirin 710 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD). It has a large 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Camera wise, the rear sports a dual-camera setup which has a 48MP main sensor, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, in charge of selfies is a 16MP sensor, complete with 60fps FHD video recording.
The Honor 9X Lite does pack a 3,750mAh battery that supports standard 10W charging. What’s nice is that despite being an entry-level smartphone, it still has USB Type-C, albeit USB 2.0.
According to Soyacincau, the Honor 9X Lite is indeed certified by Google and will come with the Google Play Store instead of the Huawei Mobile Services.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 9X Lite’s price and availability info will only be announced at a later date. From the banner image on Hihonor, it seems the phone will come in three colours – green, blue, and purple. For reference, the Honor 9X Pro is retailing for RM999, while the Honor 9X has a price tag of RM899.
