Google Pixel 4a Specifications Leaked

Pixel 4A

Ahead of its—supposed—3 August release date, it seems that the specifications of Google’s upcoming Pixel 4a smartphone have been leaked to the masses. Interestingly, the leak was posted by Twitter user Ishan Agarwal, who is known to be rather accurate in recent times.

So, let’s talk about the alleged specifications of the Google 4a then. According to the aforementioned source, the upcoming smartphone will come with 6GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB storage, Snapdragon 730G SoC, a 5.81-inch punch-hole Full HD+ HDR OLED display, and a 3,140mAH battery capacity.

When it comes to its camera, the Pixel 4a is bestowed with a 12.2MP rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) along with a 8MP front camera. Additionally, the rear camera of the budget smartphone is capable of 4K 30fps and 1080P 120fps recording. Pricing-wise the upcoming Google smartphone is rumoured to come with a price tag of US$349 (about RM1,480) for non-5G and US$499 (around RM2,117) for 5G.

As with previous Pixel launches, it remains uncertain whether Google will make the Pixel 4a available here in Malaysia. That aside, the Pixel 4a looks to be a strong contender for this year’s budget smartphone category, with its closest rival being the recently announced OnePlus Nord and iPhone SE. Nonetheless, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on the official announcement once it has been made.
