Get Up To Speed: Redmi 10X Series

Redmi 10X

The Redmi 10X series was announced to bring 5G to the mass audience, and it includes three devices (one 4G device) – Redmi 10X Pro, Redmi 10X 5G, and Redmi 10X 4G. These are the first smartphones to run on MediaTek Dimensity 820 processors, capable of supporting two 5G SIM cards on standby.

Redmi 10X Series

Pioneering the Redmi 10X lineup is the Redmi 10X Pro 5G and 10X 5G. These are pretty similar but when you take a look at the camera department, that’s where its differences lie. Apart from that, the Redmi 10X Pro 5G does have NFC support while the 10X 5G doesn’t.

Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC, they are paired with up to 8GB RAM (6GB for the 10X 5G), and up to 256GB of storage (128GB for the 10X 5G). They both have the same 6.57-inch AMOLED display that is capable of FHD+ resolution.

The Redmi 10X 5G series keeps things cool by having a suspended heat pipe with a 5-layered graphite solution.

Camera wise, the Redmi 10X Pro 5G has a quad-camera system that has a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8MP telephoto camera with OIS, 3x optical zoom, 5x hybrid zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. Apart from that, there is also the 5MP macro sensor for close up shots. For selfies, it has a 20MP main sensor with HDR.

Redmi 10X Series

As for the Redmi 10X 5G’s triple camera system, it has a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. As for its selfie sensor, it has a 16MP sensor.

When it comes to connectivity, both models support the 5G networks in both SA and NSA architecture, meaning it can connect to two 5G networks simultaneously. On top of that, it also supports Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.1.

They each come with a 4,520mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0 via USB Type-C. The Redmi 10X Pro 5G has a 33W fast charger, while the 10X 5G only gets a 22.5W fast charger. These phones also retain the 3.5mm audio jack and IR blaster.

There’s also a 4G version of the Redmi 10X, which looks to be pretty similar to the Redmi Note 9 in terms of specs. However, it runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 processor instead.

The Redmi 10X 4G has a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD display. It is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD).

Camera wise, it has a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. Selfies is taken with the 13MP main sensor housed in the keyhole notch in the front.

Redmi 10X Series 4G

The Redmi 10X 4G is juiced up by a large 5,020mAh battery, and has a 22.5W fast charging when it only supports 18W fast charging. It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Pricing and Availability

These are the prices for the Redmi 10X series in China. As of this writing, there isn’t any news yet on local pricing and availability. Stay tuned to The AXO as we’ll definitely keep you updated on when it does become available.
