The Asus Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro were officially announced today with high-end flagship specs. Just like last year’s Zenfone 6, both these phones retain the rotating 180-degree camera system, which allows the rear camera to be used as the front selfie camera too.
Zenfone 7 Pro
The Zenfone 7 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ display that supports HDR10+. Powered by a Snapdragon 865+ processor, it is also paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 based storage.
In the camera department, the Zenfone 7 Pro is fitted with a 64MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and an 8MP telephoto sensor capable of 3x optical zoom. Both main sensors (64MP + 12MP) have OIS built-in. Video recording wise, the device can record 8K videos at 30fps, or 4K at 120fps.
Running on Android 10, the Zenfone 7 Pro is packed with a large 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging via USB Type-C. Included in the box is also a 30W fast charger.
Zenfone 7
As for the Zenfone 7, its processor has been swapped out for a lower Snapdragon 865, and the storage has been trickled down to 128GB. And for the camera, it has been stripped of OIS. Everything else is the same as the Zenfone 7 Pro. Both devices will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Pricing And Availability
The Asus Zenfone 7 series will be priced as below, and they will be available starting the 1st of September in selected markets.
