After the arrival of the VivoBook series, Asus today showed a quick glimpse of the upcoming Asus ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14. These ultraportable laptops boast on not just their portability, but their vast range of connectivity ports too. And we must say, we’re impressed.
Asus ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14
First of all, these laptops share almost similar specs, so let’s go through their differences first. The ZenBook 13 features a 13.3-inch FHD LED panel, while the ZenBook 14 has a 14-inch FHD LED panel. Apart from the display, they also differ in terms of sizing and dimensions, of course. The ZenBook 13 (UX325) weighs 1.07KG and has the dimensions of 13.9mm (h) x 304mm (w) x 203mm (d), whereas the ZenBook 14 is a tad bit heavier at 1.13KG with the dimensions of 13.9mm (h) x 309mm (w) x 208mm (d).
Sharing the same internals, the Asus ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14 are powered by the latest 10th gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 processor, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X 3200MHz RAM and up to 512GB PCIe 3.0 SSD. Graphics wise, they either have Intel UHD or Iris Plus integrated graphics. On the top of the display, there is also the HD IR webcam which supports Windows Hello.
The number pad has been moved into the trackpad itself, which is Asus NumberPad 2.0. Connectivity wise, they feature Intel WiFi 6 with Gig+ performance, as well as Bluetooth 5.0. For the ports, this is where it’s impressive. There are two Thunderbolt Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, one full-sized HDMI port, and a microSD card reader. The choices of ports available on such a thin and light machine is just impressive.
For its battery wise, it has a 4-cell 67Whr battery which boasts up to 22 hours of battery life. It supports both fast and slow charging, meaning you can either charge it with the supplied fast charger, or even your standard 5V powerbank or smartphone charger, which is pretty convenient.
Another thing that is interesting, is that it doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack. So, it will come with a Hi-Res Audio USB Type-C to 3.5mm audio jack adapter.

At the time of writing, Asus hasn’t revealed any pricing information but they did mention that the laptops should arrive in Malaysia by the end of July 2020.
