In a partnership with Tencent Games, Asus will launch the long anticipated ROG Phone 3 next month in China on the 7th of July 2020. The announcement was made on Asus’ official Weibo account earlier today.

Apart from the release date, Asus didn’t provide any more details regarding the phone. Not the tech specs, not even a glimpse of the device. What they did reveal is this pretty cool teaser poster. In a separate Weibo announcement, Tencent has mentioned that its partnership with Asus ROG in China is to further enhance and optimise the mobile gaming performance on the ROG Phone 3’s hardware. Just like the ROG Phone 2, there is also a China-exclusive Tencent version that will launch together with the ROG Phone 3 in July.
According to the listing from TENAA, the ROG Phone 3 doesn’t seem like it changed much in aesthetics. It’s purported to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+, have a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, complete with a huge 5,800mAh battery.
Guess we’ll just have to wait till the 7th next month to find out everything about the Asus ROG Phone 3.
