Apple has announced an updated version of its 27-inch iMac rather surprisingly. The newly updated 27-inch iMac comes with a host of hardware upgrades that make it rather powerful. What’s even more surprising, however, is the fact that it is now available for purchase on Apple Malaysia’s official website.
Apple’s New 27-inch iMac
So, what’s new with the recently announced 27-inch iMac? Firstly, it now comes with Intel’s 10th generation Comet Lake CPUs (up to Core i9) and a 1080P webcam (finally). In addition, SSDs are now a standard storage option for the 27-inch iMac, with configurations of up to 8TB. Furthermore, Apple has also provided options for up to 128GB DDR4 RAM (2,666MHz).
Graphics-wise, the new 27-inch iMac can be fitted up to a Radeon Pro 5700XT (7nm) graphics card, which has 16GB GDDR6 memory with 384 GB/s bandwidth. It also features up to 7.6 TFLOPS of single-precision (FP32) floating point performance.
What’s interesting about the new 27-inch iMac iteration is that it comes with he new “Nano-texture glass” display option. This display type apparently comes with a less reflective matte glass.
Pricing and Availability
Those aside, when it comes to pricing, the new Apple 27-inch iMac starts at RM7,999 and goes all the way up to RM38,687 for a fully spec’d out system. It is currently available for purchase through Apple Malaysia’s official webpage.
