As expected from its teaser, Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE was debuted during Apple’s “Time Flies” event. To be more specific, the company showcased the new Apple Watch Series 6 and budget-orienterd Apple Watch SE—the latter being a surprising addition to the Apple Watch family. These new Watch offerings from Apple were announced alongside the new Apple iPad Air and the Apple 8th Generation iPad.
Apple Watch Series 6

Updates that come with the Apple Watch Series 6 smartwatch is heavily focused on health. Apple mentioned that the Series 6 now comes with the ability to measure blood oxygen levels, along with improved sensors for sleep tracking. Additionally, the company mentioned that its new flagship smartwatch is able to measure one’s blood oxygen levels in about 15 seconds.
Design-wise, the Apple Watch Series 6 retains the same aesthetic found on the previous Series 5 model. A major difference, this time round, comes in the internals. The Apple Watch Series 6 is equipped with the Apple’s new S6 processor, which the company claims to be 20% faster compared the older model. The company also mentioned that the display on the Series 6 is now 2.5 times brighter compared to the Series 5 and it comes with faster charging speeds as well.

Another interesting announcement made by Apple with regards to the Apple Watch is its new “Solo Loop” watch strap. This new watch band design features a strap designed from a single piece of silicone; this means it doesn’t come with any buckles/adjustment mechanisms. Apples says the “Solo Loop” strap will come in many different sizes to fit everyone’s wrist size.
Apple Watch SE

A rather surprising announcement made by Apple is the Watch SE. Interestingly, when it comes to design, the Apple Watch SE looks rather similar to the older Apple Watch Series 4. Of course, being an ‘SE variant’ means that this smartwatch does lose out on some features found on the newer and more premium Series 6. For instance, the Watch SE does not come with an always-on display, ECG functionality and the newly introduced blood oxygen monitor feature.
Pricing And Availability

For those who are interested, the Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a price tag starting from RM1,749. As for the Apple Watch SE, prices starts from RM1,199.
