AMD Ryzen 5 3500X To Launch in Malaysia for RM639

AMD Ryzen 5 3500X

It was September last year that AMD silently released the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X processor. The processor was made to be a China-exclusive product. However, it seems AMD is having a change of heart as it will soon be available for the Malaysian market.

The AMD Ryzen 5 3500X has the same amount of cores as the Ryzen 5 3600X at 6 cores. That being said, the CPU lacks support for Simultaneous Multi-threading (SMT). This means that instead of getting 6-core, 12-threads, you’d only be getting 6-core, 6 threads.

Base clock for the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X is 3.6GHz, while the boost clock will be rated at 4.1GHz. The CPU will get a TDP of 65W, with a total cache of 32MB. Being a Ryzen processor, the 3500X is also based on AMD’s 7nm Zen2 CPU architecture.

Pricing and Availability

The AMD Ryzen 5 3500X will be priced at RM639, and it comes complete with the Wraith Stealth CPU cooler. Availability wise, AMD has mentioned that it will be available sometime next week, but no exact dates have been given. Stay tuned to The AXO for more details when it gets released.

UPDATE: AMD has reached out and the AMD Ryzen 5 3500X will be available starting from the 24th of February.
