After the AMD Ryzen 2300X, comes two new desktop processors and a new chipset – namely the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 and 3300X, along with the AMD B550 chipset.
“Games and applications are becoming more and more demanding, and with this, users are demanding more from their PCs,” “AMD is committed to providing solutions that meet and exceed those demands for all levels of computing. With the addition of these new Ryzen 3 desktop processors we are continuing this commitment with our mainstream gaming customers. We’ve taken performance up a level, doubling the processing threads of our Ryzen 3 processors to propel gaming and multitasking experiences to new heights.”Saeid Moshkelani, senior vice president and general manager, client business unit
Built on the 7nm process, these new processors are claimed to have twice the multitasking capabilities of its previous generations with four cores and eight threads. To improve CPU performance, AMD has also enabled SMT on the new Ryzen 3 processors for the first time. They also take advantage of 18MB cache, providing users with better memory latency reduction, leading to faster gaming performance with higher framerates in CPU-heavy games.
