Adobe has announced several new features for the Photoshop app on the iPad. To be more specific, the company has announced two additional features for consumers: refine edge brush and rotate canvas tool. Both of these features will likely bring us closer to seeing a fully-fledged Photoshop app on the iPad in the near future.
New Features on Photoshop iPad App
The refine edge brush, for those who may not be aware, is a tool that is used to ‘refine’ edges on objects such as fur on animals or even hair (and many others, of course). Being a touch-based app, Photoshop on iPad employs a simple interface which incorporates touch controls for the aforementioned feature. That being said, Adobe did mention that the refine edge brush performance on the iPad will be similar to that found on the desktop version.
Meanwhile, the rotate canvas tool enables users to… well, rotate the canvas that users are working on using touch controls. It’s indeed a surprise that Adobe took this long to introduce this feature; one which we think is pretty essential for users. Those aside, if you are currently using the Photoshop app on iPad, don’t forget to update the app to get the new features.
