Acer today announced the arrival of the Predator Helios 700 and Helios 300 gaming laptops, packed with Intel’s latest 10th generation Core processors. These laptops were announced as part of the company’s Acer Day 2020 announcement in Malaysia. Let’s start with the bigger beast first, the Helios 700.
Predator Helios 700
The Predator Helios 700 comes in two variants – Intel Core i9-10980HK and Core i7-10875H. The former is fitted with a beefier Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, while the latter has a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM as well.
They both feature a large 17.3-inch FHD IPS display that has 144Hz refresh rate with support for G-SYNC. Storage wise, the i9 model has dual 512GB NVMe SSDs, whereas the i7 model will havea 512GB NVMe SSD with a 1TB 7,200RPM HDD. When it comes to RAM, both models will have 16GB of DDR4 RAM at 2,933MHz.
For the rest of the configurations, they all have the same networking modules and connectivity options as listed above in the side by side spec sheet.
Predator Helios 300
As for the smaller Predator Helios 300, it will also come in two variants – Intel Core i7-10750H and Intel Core i5-10300H. Apart from the different processors, the rest of the configurations are the same. They both feature an Nvidia GeForce RTX2060 GPU with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Display wise, they have a 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel with the same 144Hz refresh rate as the Helios 700, but with no support for G-SYNC.
Storage configuration wise, they come with 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage, with 1 extra HDD and SSD slot each. For RAM, they each have 8GB of 2,933MHz DDR4 RAM. The Predator Helios 300 also feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, DTS X, and an Acer HD webcam. Connectivity wise, they have the same ports as listed above in the side by side spec sheet.
Pricing and Availability
The newly-launched Predator Helios 700 and Helios 300 will be available starting from the 2nd of August onwards nationwide in Malaysia. It will be priced as below:
