Announced back in April, the Acer Nitro 5 was unveiled to be refreshed with Intel’s latest 10th generation Intel Core processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX Super GPUs. Today, Acer Malaysia’s Facebook page posted a teaser for the launch.

10th Gen Core i7 Variant
We don’t have the full list of variants and their pricing yet, but according to Just IT technology, local retailer’s listing on a Facebook post. One of the variants will be the Nitro 5 powered by a 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-10750H processor that delivers 5GHz of power, with 6 cores and 12 threads. It is also paired with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
Storage wise, it has a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD onboard. For its display, it has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, complete with a 144Hz refresh rate.
10th Gen Core i5 Variant
Another variant will be the Acer Nitro 5 powered by an Intel Core i5-10300H. It is also paired with 8GB of RAM and have a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. It will also have the same display as the Core i7 model, but the graphics card will be an Nvidia GeForce GTX1650 Ti with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM.
The Acer Nitro 5 comes with a dual-fan cooling system to achieve an overall 25% improvement in thermal performance over its 2019 model. This is then made even better with the CoolBoost™ technology that is capable of increasing the fan speed by 10% and CPU/GPU cooling by 9%.
Most noticeable difference when compared with its previous generation, is the new Acer Nitro 5 comes with an RGB keyboard instead of just a red backlit keyboard. On top of that, there is also the inclusion of the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (802.11ax) and Killer Ethernet E2600 networking modules.
Pricing and Availability
Just IT is listing the Core i7 variant of the Acer Nitro 5 for the price of RM4,799, and the Core i5 variant for RM3,899.
Acer hasn’t officially launched the prices and full list of variants, so take this news with a pinch of salt.
