1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review: Great Audio With Design That Makes Sense

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

The 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone is one of the company’s latest wireless earphones, and they approached us for a review of it. This is, in my opinion, not a fully wireless earphone because of the neckband style that still has wires connecting the earbuds. But, we recently reviewed the Huawei FreeLace Pro, and we have to say, we like the 1MORE better.

That’s a really extensive and complete set of accessories for just one wireless headphone. The carrying pouch is useful, and the USB Type-C to 3.5mm Audio Jack adapter is great too, but more on that later.

Design

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

The 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone features a neckband style design, and it has wires connecting the earbuds to the body of the headphones. Although it isn’t TWS, the headphones still make for a really great of pair headphones.

The neckband itself is made out of hypoallergenic rubber, so that it stays on your neck and doesn’t move out of place or irritate those of you with sensitive skin. The controller section has a smooth matte finish to it, with the earbuds having a glossy finish that can be quite the fingerprint magnet.

All controls for the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone are focused in one area, which is the left side, and that’s really great. That’s because I don’t have to remember which controls are on which sides of the headphones, even the charging port is also placed on the left.

Here are the controls for the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone:

Comfort

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

Where comfort is concerned, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone is one of the most comfortable neckband style wireless headphones I’ve ever tried. It stays on your neck firmly with a lot of grip, the earbuds’ cables don’t touch or annoy your face, and the controls are smooth to the touch.

I’ve got the flat silicon tip size M installed, and I’ve had no audio fatigue or soreness after listening to music for extended hours. It’s truly comfortable regardless if I’m just chilling to some acoustics, working out at the gym to some hardcore beats, or working to some pop music.

Speaking of working out, the headphones do stay in place even when you’re running or jumping. But do note that, the controller does bounce up and down with you, so it would lightly tap on your collar bones once in a while. Additionally, these headphones aren’t for dancers. If you want something to wear during dancing, you’re better off using a pair of TWS earbuds.

User Experience

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

The best feature about the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone is not just the audio quality, but the controller itself. As mentioned above, all functions are gathered into one convenient place, and they’re easy to understand and navigate.

There are even dedicated buttons for the Wind Noise Resistance Mode and Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. For wind noise resistance, you can either turn it on/off, whereas the Hybrid ANC, you can turn it on/off, or to level one/two.

Speaking of ANC, the hybrid ANC is assisted with a total of four microphones on the headphones. With the controls, this allows for noise reduction of up to 35dB on level 2. What it does is it uses the microphones to detect noise from the outside environment and in-ear to determine the best noise reduction possible. In my use, the ANC has worked great that I could only hear a slight buzzing while standing 5m apart from a running hairdryer.

The 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone also comes with Wind Noise Resistance technology, where as its name suggests, it helps reduce wind noise when you’re listening to music or taking calls. This feature works really well, and you could actually hear the headphones muting out wind noise once you press the button. Sitting right in front of a fan blowing at full speed, once I turned the WNR mode on and ANC set to level 2, the wind noise immediately disappeared and all I could hear was my music.

There is no wear detection, so if you do take off the earbuds and let them dangle, just keep in mind that your music will still continue playing. And for the audio prompts that notify you of the change in modes, it only uses sounds and not human voice. So, you’ll need to remember which tone represents which mode.

The headphones are also IPX5 rated for water and sweat resistance. So, you can definitely bring the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone to the gym for workouts, but not for swimming, obviously – the earbuds would be hanging on to your ears for their dear lives.

As with other neckband style wireless headphones, the earbuds can magnetically attach to each other to securely stay in place so it doesn’t dangle around. But because the audio cables are quite short and they’re spaced quite far apart, when you take them off and drop them, they don’t automagically magnetize with each other. So, you will need to attach them yourself.

Sampling Song List

  • Hardwell Feat. Cascada – Everytime We Touch (Remix)
  • Mura Masa – Lotus Eater
  • Billie Eilish Feat. Blackbear – Ocean Eyes (Remix)
  • Beauz – Count The Hours (Extended Mix)
  • Joyner Lucas Feat. Logic – ISIS
  • DAOKO – 打上花火
  • Lisa – Gurenge

Equipped with dual driver hybrid earbuds with a balanced armature and a separate dynamic driver, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone produces great audio quality that is Wireless Hi-Res Audio certified. The soundstage is good, with a fair bit of sound isolation. The highs are really bright, with decent mids. Dialogues are quite clear, but when I’m more concerned with is the lows. Seeing how these are in-ear earbuds, I was expecting more bass.

However, I realized the bass depends on volume and which ANC level you’re on. With ANC off and volume set to 50%, the amount of bass is really low. To really get the most bass possible, you’ll need to be on ANC level 2, volume at 80%, and WNR mode on.

Speaking of WNR mode, I also realized that every time I changed the ANC level, the WNR mode will be turned off. To me, ANC and WNR mode being turned on at the same time provides the best audio experience, so it being turned off automatically is a little inconvenient for me. So remember, if you are changing ANC levels, be sure to turn WNR mode back on.

Call Quality

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

As for call quality, the microphone does a good job at picking up sound. However, the sound it picks up is only decent at best. My voice was described as audible but slightly muffled. But, I can clearly hear the person calling with great clarity, no issues at all.

Wind Noise Reduction mode doesn’t work during calls, so it can only be enabled when you’re listening to music, or anything else other than calls. It would’ve been better if 1MORE could include WNR mode for calls, that way audio would be much better if the call was taken in a windy scenario.

Gaming

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

When it comes to gaming with wireless audio, nothing beats having an audio cable directly connected to the device itself. Latency wise, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone does suffer a minimal audio delay when it comes to gaming. In terms of video watching, there is a slightly audible and visible delay too.

However, if you get really ticked by that small amount of audio delay and prefer to use it in wired mode. You can do so with the USB Type-C audio cable, which is already included in the box itself. Convenient, right? But take note that if you do so, there will be a cable jutting out of the left controller.

Battery

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

In our use, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone has managed to last for 14 hours and 16 minutes with ANC on and 70% volume. According to the company, a 10 minute charge can also give it 3 hours of additional use.

When it comes time to charge it, just pop open the flap at the bottom. There’s a small protruding part on the bottom to allow easier opening, and there is where the USB Type-C port. This is a really great design because nothing is removed from the headphones itself, meaning there is no chance of you losing anything. This Type-C port is also the port to connect to if you want to use the headphones in wired mode.

Conclusion

1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone Review

Priced at RM599, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone is now available for purchase on 1MORE’s official Lazada page. It offers quite a lot for this price point. It features a great design that makes sense, accompanied with decent audio, and versatility when it comes to connectivity options (wired and wireless).

On top of that, you can customize it to have the perfect fit for you with the silicon tips provided, which is super important when it comes to getting the best sound possible out of your headphones.

So, if you’re into the neckband style headphone, the 1MORE Dual Driver ANC Pro Wireless Headphone is definitely one of the best to get in the market now.
