Xiaomi has revived the Mi Note series with the Mi Note 10, and it has a rather interesting penta camera system featuring a 108MP main sensor. The smartphone finally makes its global debut after some heavy teasing from Xiaomi.
108MP Penta Camera System
Let’s talk about the camera first. Having the world’s first Penta (five) Camera system, Mi Note 10 features:
- 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor with a 1/1.33” 7P lens + OIS + Night Mode 2.0
- 5MP sensor for 5x optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, 50x digital zoom + OIS
- 12MP sensor for 2x optical zoom (1.4μm pixels)
- 20MP ultra-wide angle sensor (117-degree field of view)
- 2MP macro sensor
- 32MP selfie sensor
Xiaomi has also announced that there is a 108MP sensor with a F/1.7 8P lens on the Premium Edition. In addition, the 12MP sensor is equivalent to a 50mm 2x telephoto lens, which is a focal length that the Huawei P30 series doesn’t have. The options offered by the combination of these five lenses can cover most settings, offering consumers a complete SLR-like photography experience.
32MP Selfie Camera
The Mi Note 10 sports a large 32MP selfie camera on the front. It’s wrapped in a dewdrop notch, and the camera sensor takes clear selfies by merging four pixels to form large 1.6μm pixels called Super Pixel. To complete the package, users will also be able to take magnificent selfies in lowlight conditions, thanks to the new AI portrait night mode.
AMOLED Full Screen Curved Display with 3D Glass Back
Featuring a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resulution, the front features a dot drop notch. Users will be able to enjoy their content to the fullest extent with the dual curved edges on the sides. Its body is constructed with aluminium alloy and its screen is protected using Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The Mi Note 10 is also packed with Xiaomi’s thinner, faster, and improved In-screen fingerprint sensor.
5,260mAh Battery with 30W Fast Charge
Equipped with the largest battery to ever be included in a Mi phone, Mi Note 10 is powered with a generous 5,260mAh battery. Not to mention, the Mi Note 10 also supports 30W Fast Charge when used with the in-box charging adapter and USB Type-C cable.
In terms of connectivity, Mi Note 10 offers NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi, two Nano SIM card slots, and an Infrared blaster. The device utilises the latest USB Type-C technology and retains the 3.5mm headphone jack for better audio device compatibility.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G
The Mi Note 10 features the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 730G mobile platform, to bring Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and an additional 15% graphics boost over the Snapdragon 730 for a more powerful gaming experience. It also has an octa-core KryoTM 470 chip processor based on the 8nm process, AI via the Qualcomm AI Engine, True HDR gaming.
It comes in two variants. One is a variant that has 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage, the other is a variant that has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 will be available in three colors – Aurora Green, Glacier White, and Midnight Black. Pre-orders have begun, while general sales will be available starting 11th November, with the retail price of:
