Right before Intel’s press event at Computex 2019, the company has just added the new i9-9900KS to its 9th Generation Core processors portfolio. It might not look all that different, but having that “S” on the back really gives it much more kick – eight kicks, to be exact.
From the looks of it, it looks exactly like the Intel i9-9900K. However, the Intel i9-9900KS is capable of having all its 8 processing cores to run 5.0GHz simultaneously instead of just having one processor core run at a time.
Compared to the i9-9900K with clock speeds of 3.8GHz, the Intel i9-9900KS has a slightly higher base clock speed of 4.0GHz. That being said, in terms of GPU, the chip uses the same Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU.
Intel hasn’t announced the i9-9900KS price or availability, but if the pricing for the Core i9-9900K serves as any indication, the Core i9-9900KS will be priced above the RM2,000 mark.
