The Huawei Y9s makes its official debut here in Malaysia, right before the year ends. Being a successor to the Huawei Y9 2019 that was announced last year, the Huawei Y9s has undergone quite a few upgrades, so let’s take a look at some of them.

Running on the Huawei Kirin 710F processor, the Huawei Y9s is packed with 6GB of RAM and 128FGB of storage. In the camera department, it utilises a triple camera system. This consists of a 48MP main camera sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 2MP depth camera for capturing bokeh.
On the front, you will find a 6.59-inch Ultra FULLVIEW Display without a notch. That is made possible because the selfie camera has been removed and placed in an auto pop-up mechanism on the top. That’s a 16MP selfie camera that will automatically appear when you switch from the rear cameras to the front.

Connectivity wise, it ditches the micro USB port and opts for the USB Type-C connection instead. For an entry level device, that’s pretty good for faster charging.
Pricing and Availibility
The Huawei Y9s is now available for RM999 at all authorised Huawei Experience Stores. There are two colour options customers can choose from – Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal.
