Google Stadia Launching November; Subscription Plans Revealed 7

Google has finally unveiled its subscription plans, games list and even pricing for its cloud-based gaming platform – Stadia.

In order for Google Stadia to run optimally, the company has stated that you’ll need an Internet connection with speeds of 35Mbps or higher to get that 4K goodness. But for those of you who only have access to lower internet speeds, Google has said that Stadia can work at a recommended minimum of 10Mbps, but only at a lowered 720p resolution.

Google’s Stadia will come in two subscription plans. Stadia Pro will allow gamers to stream their gaming experience up to 4K resolution at 60fps, complete with 5.1 surround sound. It is priced at US$9.99 (approx. RM41) monthly. It will be available by November this year.

Note that this is only for the streaming service and does not include any games. At the time of writing, Google hasn’t mentioned how much each game title will cost, but only states that these games will release regularly and there will be exclusive discounts on select game titles.

The Google Stadia Base plan lets gamers stream up to Full HD 1080p resolution at 60fps, with only stereo sound. This plan doesn’t require a subscription fee but gamers can still buy any games they wish to play whenever they want. It will only be available some time next year.
